SYMBIOSIS' is a Trust registered under the Bombay Public Trusts Act 1950 (Reg.No.F/481,Pune) and a Society registered under the Societies Registration Act 1860 (Reg.No.MAH-679-PN), having its registered office at Senapati Bapat Road, Pune 411 004, in the State of Maharashtra, India.

Symbiosis is a family of 44 academic institutions, imparting quality education for over 40 years. It is host to over 27,000 Indian and International students on campus and over 1,00,000 students off campus.

These campuses epitomize the Symbiosis motto, 'Promoting International Understanding through Quality Education' and are a beehive of international students from all across the globe, being privy to Indian culture and hospitality. Many of these campuses are fully residential and have recreational facilities which include swimming pools, amphitheaters & Health Care centres. Keeping its excellent track record in mind, in 2002, the Ministry of Human Resources Development, Government of India conferred the 'Deemed to be University' status on Symbiosis, and further in 2006 the University Grants Commission, Government of India withdrew the word Deemed and renamed the University as Symbiosis International University.

Our Programme

B.Sc. (Sport and Exercise Science) - Honours/ Honours with Research

SIU announces the four-year degree programme with multiple entry and exit options as envisioned in the NEP 2020. The highlights of the new programme offerings are as under

The four-year programme offers multiple entry/exit options and has been designed in line with UGC Guidelines as per the NEP 2020. The School provides flexible degree options with Single Major, Minor, Multi/Interdisciplinary choices, and curriculum built with employability skills in addition to academic subjects.

Includes opportunities for semester exchange programmes with foreign universities Offers the following exit options

A Certificate at the end of the first year of the programme with 44 credits
A Dililoma at the end of the first two years of the programme with 84 credits
A UG Degree at the end of 3 years of the programme with 120 credits
A UG Degree with Honours / Research at the end of the 4 years of the programme with 160 credits
Offers option of Re-entry within 3 years of exit and 7 years as the maximum permissible period to complete the programme.

Eligibility

B.Sc. (Sport and Exercise Science) - Honours/ Honours with Research

Passed Standard XII (10+2) or equivalent examination from any recognized Board with a minimum of 50% marks of equivalent grade (45% marks or equivalent grade for Scheduled Caste/ Scheduled Tribes).

Participation in sports at the International/National/State/District level (in games recognized by School Games Federation of India- SGFI) desirable. Students who wish to opt for Honours with Research must earn 7.5 CGPA and above at the end of Semester-6 Eligibility Criteria for the Multiple entries would be as per University's Lateral Entry Rules for FYUG Programmes.
