1. When is the Symbiosis SET entrance exam in 2023?
  • SLAT Test 1 will be conducted on Saturday, May 06, 2023 from 09.00 AM to 10.00 AM and Test 2 will be conducted on Sunday, May 14, 2023 from 09.00 AM to 10.00 AM.
  • SET Test 1 will be conducted on Saturday, May 06, 2023 from 11.30 AM to 12.30 PM and Test 2 will be conducted on Sunday, May 14, 2023 from 11.30 AM to 12.30 PM.
  • SITEEE Test 1 will be conducted on Saturday, May 06, 2023 from 02.00 PM to 03.00 PM and Test 2 will be conducted on Sunday, May 14, 2023 from 02.00 PM to 03.00 PM.

However, depending on the prevailing pandemic situation of COVID-19 or any other unavoidable circumstances, the schedules as well as the nature/ structure of the test can change, and all tests can be conducted entirely online or entirely offline or in a combination of both modes at the discretion of SIU.

2. When is the SLAT exam in 2023?

The SLAT Test 1 will be conducted on Saturday, May 06, 2023 from 09.00 AM to 10.00 AM and Test 2 will be conducted on Sunday, May 14, 2023 from 09.00 AM to 10.00 AM. Depending on any unavoidable circumstances, the schedules as well as the nature/structure of the test can change, and all tests can be conducted entirely online or entirely offline or in a combination of both modes at the discretion of SIU.

3 .Is there negative marking in SET exam?

No, there will not be any form of negative marking in any of the SET exams conducted.

4. What is WAT in SET exam?

WAT stands for Writing Ability Test. One thing to keep in mind is that the WAT will be reviewed by the institute. WAT results will not be released alongside the SET results.

5. What is the general category fee in Symbiosis UG colleges?

The registration fee for the Symbiosis Entrance Test for SLAT or SET or SITEEE is Rs. 1950/- and is non-refundable and non-transferable. You will also be required to pay a non-refundable and non-transferable programme registration fee of Rs. 1000/- for each programme.

6. When will the SLAT 2023 results come out?

The results for SLAT will be declared on Wednesday, May 24, 2023. The date, however, may change at the discretion of SIU.

7. How to check Symbiosis SET 2023 result?

SET/ SLAT/ SITEEE results will be declared on Wednesday, May 24, 2023 on set-test.org.

8. Is Symbiosis SET entrance exam online?

Although it is a computer-based online test, you will be required to take the exam in a predetermined center. The timetables, as well as the nature/structure of the exam, may alter depending on the current COVID-19 condition. All tests may be performed totally online, completely offline, or in a combination of both modalities at SIU's discretion.

9. How to download the SET admit card?

SET/SLAT/SITEEE 2023 Admit Card should be printed (color printouts only. B&W printouts will not be accepted) from the SET website [set-test.org].The admit card will be released on 22 April 2023 for SET/SLAT/SITEEE 1 and 28 April 2023 for SET/SLAT/SITEEE 2. Candidates will be able to download the admit card by entering their login details from the official website (set-test.org).

10. Is SLAT 2023 entrance exam online or offline?

You will be needed to take the exam in a testing centre as it is a computer-based online test.

11. What is SET entrance exam?

SET or Symbiosis Entrance Test is a computer-based examination conducted by the Symbiosis University (Deemed). It is an aptitude test designed to assess the ability of students before providing to enrol in any of Symbiosis institutes that the student desires. SET is divided in 3 categories: SET, SLAT (Symbiosis Law Admission Test) and SITEEE (Symbiosis Institute of Technology Engineering Entrance Exam).

12. Does Symbiosis accept SAT score for admissions to their UG colleges?

SAT score will be considered for Symbiosis School for Libral Arts (SSLA) students who have submitted a valid score on the SSLA enrollment form. Symbiosis Institute of Technology (Pune and Nagpur) accepts students who have passed the JEE Mains, MHT-CET, or any state-level admission exam. For the remainder of the institutes, however, you must pass the SET test.

13. How to check the SLAT 2023 result?

You may go to the website set-test.org, fill out the required details, and receive your results. On Wednesday, May 24, 2023, SLAT results will be available on the set-test.org website.

14. What is SLAT affiliate?

While registering for the SLAT exam, you can choose from Symbiosis Law School (SLS) in Pune, Hyderabad, Noida and Nagpur. Procedure of registering is same for all SET exams.

15. What is Symbiosis SET?

The Symbiosis Entrance Test, or SET, is a computer-based aptitude test offered by Symbiosis University (Deemed). It is meant to evaluate students' abilities before allowing them to enrol in any of Symbiosis' institutes. There are three types of exams: SET, SLAT (Symbiosis Law Admission Test) and SITEEE (Symbiosis Institute of Technology Engineering Entrance Exam).

16. In the form we need to fill the percentage but my board gives CGPA, what should I do?

In case of CGPA, the conversion to percentage of marks would be based on the procedure prescribed by the respective Board / University. So please contact your Board / University for details regarding this.

17. Are there any reservations for the OBC?

No, there are no reservations for the OBC. Candidates belonging to the OBC category must apply under the Open category.

18. Do we need to pay anything other than the registration fee?

A candidate is required to make a separate non-refundable payment of ₹ 1,000/- per programme per Institute in addition to the registration fee of ₹ 1950/- towards SET / SLAT / SITEEE.

19. Why do we need to pay an additional ₹ 1,000/- per programme?

Your SET scores will be considered for shortlisting candidates for the further admission process (PI-WAT / ST-PI) by individual Institutes ONLY for the programmes that you have paid for.

20. Can I pay for the Institutes after the SET results?

Yes, but different Institutes have different deadlines for paying the registration fees for the programmes they offer. You may want to check the same on the website of the concerned Institute(s).

21. Do we need to apply separately for the Institutes on their individual websites?

No. You may pay the registration fee for the Institute(s) through the SET registration portal itself.

22. When I am trying to log in it is showing User already logged in?

If you are getting "User already logged in" error then please close your browser & tab and try to log in after one hour, i.e. till after the session expires. You will be able to log in successfully thereafter.

23. How will I get to know the venue of the test?

The test centre details will be mentioned on the admit card, so please wait till you are able to download the same.

24. Can I apply through JEE mains or MHTCET?

Yes, you can apply for BTech programmes at SIT Pune and SIT Nagpur through JEE mains or MHTCET.

25. Do you have admission on the basis of lateral entry?

Lateral admissions are subject to vacancy. You may want to check the same with the concerned Institute(s).

26. Which Institute is the best Institute?

It is like comparing apples and oranges. Your choice of a particular Institute / programme / specialisation should depend on your interest and potential. You may also like to study the pedagogy, infrastructure, placements / scope for further studies at each Institute to make up your mind.

27. What is the difference between BA LLB and BBA LLB?

While BA LLB covers arts subjects with law, BBA LLB covers management and business subjects along with law. However the career opportunities for both these programmes are ample. These graduates can work as lawyer, legal advisor, law reporter, legal assistant, etc depending on their skills and experience.

28. Does Symbiosis also offer a B.Com. programme?

Yes, but you may directly apply for the B.Com. programme and need not take SET for the same. 29. Are there any books to refer for SET?

Symbiosis does not provide or recommend any book that you may refer for SET. Exercise your own discretion to select any book(s) that may be available otherwise that help candidates prepare for SET or other competitive examinations.

30. What is the cut off for SET?

Cut off of each Institute is different and it is decided by the respective Institutes. You may want to contact the particular Institute(s) for cut off related queries.

31. Do you have any hostel facility?

Different campuses have different infrastructure. You may want to check the same on the website of the concerned Institute(s).

33. Why am I receiving contiguous mails and messages?

These messages are the general reminders which are being sent to all the candidates who have registered for SET so that they don't miss the deadlines. If you have paid the registration fees kindly ignore the messages.

34. Do you have management quota?

Admission to all the courses and programmes at Symbiosis International (Deemed University) are strictly on merit basis based on the criteria and processes prescribed by the University and assessment of individual performance in Symbiosis National Aptitude Test (SNAP) for Postgraduate Studies and Symbiosis Entrance Test (SET) for Undergraduate Studies.

All aspirants / parents are hereby notified that some individuals / organisations are giving / making false and misleading advertisements / claims in newspapers, websites, social media platforms that they can ensure admission to Symbiosis International (Deemed University) and also charging heavy amount for the same.

In this regard, Symbiosis International (Deemed University) requests the aspirants / parents to refrain from entering into any transaction with such elements. Symbiosis International (Deemed University) has not appointed any individual / agency / organisation to make such assurance on its behalf. It is a matter of Policy that Symbiosis International (Deemed University) does not charge capitation fee for admission from students and this is widely and prominently published as well on all the relevant places like prospectus, website, SNAP Booklet, SET Booklet etc.

Despite this Notice, if any aspirant / parents still proceeds with or enters into transaction with such elements, they would be doing so at their own risk and cost. Symbiosis International (Deemed University) further notifies that any aspirant attempting to approach Symbiosis International (Deemed University) for admission through or at the instances of such agents will be permanently debarred from admission to all the courses and programmes at Symbiosis International (Deemed University).
